Having a problem at work, or with your payroll? Let us know so we can help! Here are the steps:
Immigration Officers on Campus
- Call the 24-hour Rapid Response hotline at 415-200-1548
- Tell immigration officers they are not allowed on campus without a judicial warrant
- Immediately notify your site administration
- Refer any further inquiries to SFUSD Legal at 555 Franklin Street. As a classified civil service employee you are not empowered to evaluate ICE paperwork to determine if it is grounds for admittance. Only SFUSD Legal can review the paperwork and make that determination.
Payroll, Benefits, or Leaves Problem
- If it’s a payroll, benefits, or leaves problem, download your pay stubs from Frontline or your email so you have documentation, then file a ticket
- When you get the ticket email, forward it to help@seiu-sfusd.org with “SFUSD Chapter” at the top
- If you have trouble filing the ticket or forwarding the email, call the Member Resource Center at 877-OUR-1021 (877-687-1021) and someone from the stewards team will get back to you within 48 hours.
Problem with Your Boss
Call the Member Resource Center at 877-OUR-1021 (877-687-1021). Depending on the issue a steward or our field representative will reach out to get more information. You can also email mrc@seiu1021.org or help@seiu-sfusd.org
Health and Safety Problem
- Report your concerns in writing to the District Safety Officer, with a copy to help@seiu-sfusd.org
- Tell your supervisor about the issue and let them know you want a safety evaluation before you continue the work
- If the issue impacts student safety, it may be necessary to file a Williams Complaint. If you are planning to file a Williams Complaint, please contact us 877-OUR-1021
Sick Leave Donation
If you need sick leave because of a catastrophic illness impacting you or a family member that you care for:
- File your leave with SFUSD Human Resources and get a case number
- Email help@seiu-sfusd.org and let us know how much leave you need
- We will arrange donations to cover the leave
To qualify for catastrophic sick leave donations:
- You must be unable to work because of your non-work-related illness or injury or because you are responsible for caring for an ill or injured family memeber
- Your care duties or illness must keep you away from work for at least 30 days (this can be intermittent, but the total must be greater than 30)
- You must be out of all leave balances, or know that you will run out before you return to work
