Members of the union met with SFUSD leadership to begin preliminary discussions around layoffs. While some positions and people will be affected, what is clear to us is that the District’s disorganization and lack of organization create more questions than answers.

Official SFUSD notices will go out to members on May 15th, 2025. Layoffs would not take effect until June 30th, 2025. If you are a school-term employee, your layoff would begin on your official last day of school. Many of our members will likely be reassigned to other positions in the district.
