More people were on the strike lines today than yesterday, and the momentum is real. The energy at Dolores Park today was incredible, even in the rain! Seriously. Tomorrow: Rain and all, folks come ready.
UESF has made progress, and we’re hopeful we’ll see another update from them soon. The District has announced schools are closed for Wednesday. Besides SEIU, UASF and Local 21 also are striking in solidarity, and the broader San Francisco community continues to show up and show love.
As we continue to strike in sympathy, this fight is also our fight for the contract we deserve; we want to be incredibly clear: We see you, we value you, and we support your decision. If you cannot afford to stay out any longer and need to return to work, we truly understand. We are a union family.
